Operations Leadership

The Operations Director is responsible for leading the strategic direction of a growing team covering Member/Participant Processing within Manulife Business Processing Services.

This senior leadership role reports locally to MBPS management and functionally to the Global Heads of Retirement Operations for GWAM, working closely with global functional leaders to support daily processing and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering business outcomes, leveraging expertise in investment products, operational excellence, and transformation strategies.
  • Develop and implement procedures and policies to ensure proper execution by teams.
  • Enhance service capabilities through process improvements and staff development.
  • Manage relationships with business partners and clients to drive customer-centric outcomes.
  • Oversee talent development, including hiring, performance management, and governance adherence.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Retirement Operations and/or Wealth Management, with strong leadership skills.
  • 5+ years of senior manager or director-level experience managing professional staff.
  • Proven track record in client services, problem resolution, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and time zones, with excellent interpersonal skills.
