Job Title: Intermediate Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has gained significant experience in public practice accounting and is looking to take on more challenging responsibilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, business activity statements (BAS), income tax assessments (IAS), and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
  • Perform reconciliations and prepare workpapers, liaising with senior accountants/managers to finalise jobs.
  • Support junior accountants and review simple tasks as needed, utilising Xero, MYOB, or other Australian accounting software.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • At least 3-4 years of Australian public practice accounting experience.
  • A solid understanding of Australian tax rules and compliance standards.
  • Competence in managing jobs with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
