As a software test engineer, you will be accountable for planning, designing and developing manual and automation test tools, methodologies, scripts and executing end-to-end automation and manual test cases, tracking results and logging defects.

Responsibilities:

• Create test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing.
• Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
• Contribute to implementing repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, and incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.
• Plan the budget and labor needs of each sprint and product releases.
• Work in a dedicated squad team and help drive product quality.
• Ensure all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release.
• Create and communicate test reports for stakeholders such as the principal engineer, product owner, scrum master, and release management.
• Liaise with business users, business analysts, and engineers to ensure that any assigned defects are resolved.
• Maintain awareness of external environments and trends in testing, in order to contribute to the improvement of processes and assets.
• Promote productivity through test automation tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Coach and train other team members on manual and automated testing.
• Adapt new ways of working, find ways to continually improve, and actively participate in squad events.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of software testing experience (manual and automation).
• Experience with automated testing tool Playwright.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating, and test coverage.
• Experience working with external parties and vendors.
• Demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth.
• Experience with Selenium as well as other tools (e.g., Java, Maven, and Postman).
• Demonstrated skills with REST and SOAP web services and API testing.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution.
• Experience testing web, mobile, and windows applications.
• Ability to work across multiple products/platforms/squads.
• Regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
