About the role:

As part of the global support team based in Parañaque, Metro Manila, the Functional Tester will be responsible for conducting manual tests to ensure that the software developed meets its intended purpose. This role involves analysing software and systems, mitigating risks, and preventing software issues. The Functional Tester will collaborate closely with the development team and other system team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • This is a full on-site work, Monday to Friday from 6am to 3pm.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases for regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
  • Proficient with test management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira) and knowledgeable in SDLC and UAT, including environment setup.
  • Support and improve QA practices, stay current with industry best practices, and assist with internal application troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprints, planning, reviews, and process improvements.
  • Review requirements and design documents, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and meaningful feedback.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation (plans, cases, results) with version control and traceability.
  • Use SQL queries, log analysis, and multi-device/browser testing for issue resolution.
  • Ensure documentation and testing activities follow standards and procedures, promoting transparency and knowledge sharing.
