
Tech Savvy Remote IT Support Professional

A job opening exists for an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide technical support to restaurant operations.
This is a remote position with occasional on-site visits as needed.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to troubleshoot technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time IT support to restaurant teams during business hours, including evenings and weekends
- Use remote tools (e.g., TeamViewer) to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Maintain and update POS menus, item settings, modifiers, reservation systems, and online platforms (Google Business Profile, Facebook)
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to POS errors, printer malfunctions, delivery platform connectivity (Uber Eats, Menulog, DoorDash), and online reservation systems (Quandoo, SevenRooms)
- Communicate effectively with external vendors and platform support teams
- Document support cases and maintain an internal knowledge base of common issues and solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic networking knowledge (router/modem setup, IP configuration, DHCP/static IPs)
- Experience with hospitality technology platforms, including POS and online booking systems
- Proficiency with remote support tools such as TeamViewer
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support non-technical users patiently and clearly
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks independently
