Business Relationship Specialist
Job DescriptionThe Business Relationship Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with customers. This involves generating new commercial loans, developing the existing loan portfolio, cross-selling bank products and services, and providing professional account management to meet portfolio growth and profitability objectives while preserving asset quality.
The specialist will establish and develop business relationships with clients, conduct credit evaluations, and recommend the establishment of credit facilities in accordance with Bank priorities and policies. They will also solicit credit-worthy accounts, improve the quality of the loan portfolio, and maximize return on resources.
The role requires a strong understanding of international and local trade payments/practices, rules and regulations, as well as financial analysis, credit approval preparation, and basic MS Office applications. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Accounting, or Commerce, with post-graduate qualifications preferred.
A minimum of two years' banking industry experience or five years' experience in other industries is required, along with excellent oral and written communication skills, marketing and presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
