Job Description

The Assistant Bid Writer plays a vital role in supporting the bid team by researching, drafting, and submitting high-quality proposals that cater to client needs. This position requires collaboration with internal departments, adhering to deadlines, and ensuring compliance with client requirements.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Content Development: Assist in crafting and refining responses to Invitations to Tender, tailoring bid content to accurately address client needs and highlight company strengths.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with colleagues across departments, such as sales, finance, and project management, to collect information for proposals, incorporating stakeholder feedback into bid documentation.
  • Compliance and Quality Control: Proofread all bid documents for grammatical accuracy and adherence to client specifications, ensuring proposals comply with corporate branding and quality standards.
  • Research and Information Gathering: Conduct market and client research to shape tender responses effectively, maintaining a database of prior bids and responses for future use.
  • Project Coordination: Track and report on bid progress against set timelines, supporting the maintenance of a bid calendar, ensuring alignment with submission deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools.
  • Experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning.
