Senior Accountant Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable function.

  • Process purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payments in accordance with company policies.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, vendor statements, and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and documentation to facilitate efficient communication and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Monitor outstanding payables and ensure timely and accurate payment processing to maintain positive relationships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies and exceptions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support month-end close by preparing accruals, reconciliations, and reports to provide stakeholders with accurate and timely financial information.
  • Assist in audits by providing required schedules, reports, and supporting documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in US accounting with a focus on accounts payable.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, reconciliations) with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial close processes, and variance analysis to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation to support stakeholder needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks to meet business objectives.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and focused on continuous improvement with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
