Event Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Event Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and managing events to ensure timely delivery of planned events or urgent maintenance notifications to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external event planners to create better maintenance schedules beneficial to both customers and engineers.
  • Promptly respond to and deal with operational matters as requested by customers, handling event activity enquiries.
  • Liaise with suppliers, service partners/providers, and subsea cable administrators to plan acceptable schedules.
  • Negotiate and escalate with event planners, service partners/providers to reschedule maintenance activities, reducing impact on the general public or specific customer services during special events.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to arrange alternate solutions for customers, reducing business impact.
  • Reinforce and review operation processes and procedures to cater to existing and new services/products from an event management perspective.
  • Consolidate event statistics and monthly performance reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with 3 years experience in telecom industry field, or Higher Certificate in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or City & Guild Full Technological Certificate with 5 years relevant experience in telecom industry field.
  • Experience in IP, Internet, Transmission and telecom related products and services.
  • Familiarity with operational and incident management techniques, workflows, and operation supporting systems.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills required.
  • Customer-oriented and able to work independently under pressure.
