Event Planning Expertise

The role of the Conference Producer involves a wide range of responsibilities including designing and delivering high-quality events, securing expert speakers, and overseeing logistics. To excel in this position, one must be able to develop relevant topics, manage project timelines, and ensure seamless execution within budget.

This key role contributes significantly to the organisation's event production, supporting business growth through content development and stakeholder engagement. By ensuring that each event aligns with the company's strategic goals, the Conference Producer plays a vital part in enhancing its reputation and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design programme topics based on briefings from Sales, Research, or Training teams, identifying industry experts for presentations and developing product marketing plans and agendas.
  • Track attendance and collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to meet event goals, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
  • Manage pre- and post-logistics arrangements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of events.
  • Oversee all aspects of project management, from strategy to execution, including speaker sourcing and content management for conferences, seminars, and trainings.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior executives, journalists, and industry experts.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for event marketing materials, including EDMs, brochures, and handbooks.
  • Ability to coordinate and assist telesales team in delegate marketing and invitations, contributing to the profitability of conference and forums business.
  • Expertise in event production and management (research, copywriting, speaker acquisition, sales/marketing support, onsite management) to support overall business growth.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in content development for research or conference organisations, preferably in journalism or financial services.
  • Journalism experience and knowledge of financial services are highly valued, as is excellent analytical and creative skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage the forums team, providing guidance and support to new staff members when required.
  • Support sales by building networks with speakers, media, partners, and potential clients, contributing to the success of the organisation.
