Job Role:

A Bookkeeper's primary objective is to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities encompass accurate processing of accounts, payroll (including STP), superannuation, and regular reporting.

The successful candidate will handle IAS and BAS preparation, ensuring timely lodgment, as well as maintaining BAS Agent compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver work within scope on time
  2. Adhere to client deadlines and communicate with Manager if issues arise
  3. Complete client processes accurately and promptly
  4. Maintain BAS Agent compliance obligations
  5. Provide feedback for process improvements
  6. Identify opportunities for client business growth
  7. Set up Xero files per client requirements
  8. Maximize HubDoc and DEXT efficiency
  9. Use Karbon for all tasks
  10. Pursue professional development to stay industry-relevant
  11. Perform other project work as needed
Requirements:
  1. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business Management or relevant experience
  2. Experience in management reporting and analysis
  3. At least three years Australian bookkeeping experience for small to medium businesses
  4. Ability to manage multiple clients with shifting priorities
  5. Xero and Xero payroll certification
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate to high level)
  8. Preferred: experience with Karbon
  9. Fast learner and adaptable
  10. High attention to detail
  11. Strong client service focus
  12. Ability to work independently and manage your schedule
  13. Effective planning and prioritization skills
  14. Positive attitude
