Project Director - Opportunity Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that drive our mental health technology platform forward. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing project scope, resources, and timelines while driving Agile processes, facilitating team collaboration, and ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders and the development team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning & Resource Management
    1. Define and refine project scope to meet business objectives.
    2. Plan resource allocation and secure necessary approvals.
    3. Ensure proper resource availability and utilization.
    4. Develop project schedules and timelines based on estimates.
  2. Project Execution & Agile Process Management
    1. Plan and sequence project activities to ensure efficient workflow.
    2. Facilitate Agile ceremonies: kick-offs, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.
    3. Manage Jira boards (sprints, tickets, reports).
  3. Monitoring, Reporting & Metrics
    1. Track project performance with Jira metrics (velocity, burn-up/down, sprint reports).
    2. Monitor team and individual performance via KPIs and regular check-ins.
    3. Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  4. Leadership & Team Support
    1. Maintain open communication channels between clients and team members; resolve conflicts effectively.
    2. Remove obstacles and distractions to keep the team focused.
    3. Keep the team motivated and aligned on goals.
    4. Hold team members accountable for their responsibilities.
    5. Promote collaboration and effective communication throughout the organization.
  5. Continuous Improvement & Documentation
    1. Streamline processes to improve project/sprint velocity.
    2. Conduct post-mortems for significant incidents (bugs, outages, etc.).
    3. Maintain centralized and regularly updated project documentation.
    Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Proven expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including leading sprint cycles, retrospectives, and leveraging Jira for metrics-driven project tracking.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in resource planning, team allocation, and conflict resolution to ensure project cohesion.
  • A strategic liaison between stakeholders and developers, translating business needs into technical actions with exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, focusing on KPI monitoring, progress reporting, and conducting post-mortems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Meticulous attention to process optimization and comprehensive documentation.
