Job Title

An Order Operations Lead is a seasoned professional with experience in managing order-to-cash cycles, providing exceptional customer service, and implementing scalable processes. They will lead a team responsible for day-to-day execution and management of orders from receipt to delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the team responsible for executing and managing the order-to-cash cycle.
  • Provide customer support for pre-order activities including systemic setup, writing customer-specific SOPs, and ensuring customer orders are ready to process.
  • Build sustainable processes and systems from scratch focusing on efficiency and scalability as new commercial customers are onboarded.
  • Develop and maintain collection of order operations SOPs specific to different sales channels and customers.
  • Maintain data integrity in all order operations systems associated with order entry, fulfillment, management, and invoicing.
  • Lead month's end reconciliation from the Order Operations perspective and provide fully vetted reporting to Accounting showing all orders for the previous month are accurately entered.
  • Design workflows using connectors like Zapier, Make, N8N, Parabola, etc. to minimize repetitive manual work handled by the team daily.
Requirements
  • Ability to work full-time US-based hours.
  • Automations Expert - Expertise in connecting systems and smoothing out time-consuming processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a customer-facing role.
  • Elite organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extremely process-oriented with the ability to identify and define issues, create scalable processes, and implement them with team members.
  • Order Processing experience including EDI, B2B, and manual orders. Strong ERP system experience.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • 2+ years experience working in US food & beverage order operations with distributors such as UNFI & Kehe and retailers like Target.
  • Able to thrive in a fully remote work environment under minimal supervision.
  • Customer-focused with an unrelenting desire to provide world-class customer service while keeping the company's best interest in mind.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves, figure out things, and get things done even when they're not in your wheelhouse.

  • Good to advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills. Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytic skills.
