Accounting Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting operations supervisor to oversee our financial transactions, supervise general accounting operations and control company finances. This position requires an individual with strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of accounting principles and experience in managing accountants and junior analysts.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Analyze financial data, create reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Develop recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures.
  • Supervise accounting assistants and bookkeepers, plan work assignments and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Participate in forecasting and financial standards setting processes.
  • Organize financial statements and budget preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support and oversee tax audits and tax returns.
  • Ensure accounting procedures comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor or Chief Accountant role.
  • Profound experience with typical accounting procedures.
  • Good experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process.
  • Good knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting statements.
  • Practical experience with accounting software packages such as FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant certifications like CMA or CPA.
