We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Accountant. This position is ideal for an individual who has a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, and is looking for a challenging opportunity to grow and develop their skills.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading month-end close processes, analyzing reports from Xero, and building and maintaining Excel-based financial models. They will also be responsible for supporting the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control cycle, as well as managing intercompany journals, transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Analyzing reports from Xero and building and maintaining Excel-based financial models.
  • Supporting the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control cycle.
  • Managing intercompany journals, transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Consolidating reporting across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
  • Reconciling subscription revenue using Stripe data, ensuring accuracy in recurring revenue streams.
  • Providing financial analysis and insights that help shape business decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in accounting and financial analysis.
  • CA or CPA qualified with Australia or New Zealand (preferred) experience.
  • Experience leading month-end close processes – end to end, and intercompany accounting and reporting.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Exposure to SaaS or subscription revenue models (preferred but not essential).
