San Miguel Corporation is a leading company in the FMCG industry, with a strong presence in North America. Our team is looking for an experienced professional to join us as an Export Product Strategist.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Export Product Strategist to develop and execute marketing programs and new products aligned with our key marketing strategies while ensuring product compliance and trademark protection.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct regular competitive market scans, market trend analysis, and offtake assessments.
    • Collaborate with Consumer Insights Group (CIG) and Product Development team in conducting appropriate market research that will aid in identifying opportunities in the market.
  2. Brand/Product Strategy:
    • Work with the Exports Product Manager in developing the strategies and programs for the Marketing Plan for North America focusing on the 4Ps – product portfolio, place/distribution, pricing, and promotions.
  3. New Product Development and Compliance:
    • Lead in the development of new product launches, product harmonization/transition, and compliance projects.
    • Conduct regular compliance checks with stakeholders to ensure alignment with the latest market regulations.
  4. Brand Building Activities and Promotions Implementation:
    • Design marketing activities and promotions for both nationwide rollout and customer/area-specific, coordinating with various stakeholders within and outside the organization to ensure timely and proper execution of these initiatives.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Conduct regular pricing review to ensure competitiveness and analyzes how pricing structures impact the product pricing and profitability.
    • Propose price adjustments to meet pricing strategies and financial targets.
    • Manage spending effectively.
  6. Management Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing regular management presentations and other ad-hoc reports.
    • Co-chair marketing-led meetings.
    • Align expense monitoring with management.
  7. Other Functions:
    • Collaborate with Sales Team in providing necessary documents to protect trademarks.
    • Work with Exports team in ensuring accurate volume forecasting and management of customized raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
    • Engage with industry partners to identify insights and opportunities for expanding the exports business.
    • Manage administrative requirements of the marketing organization.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong educational background in Marketing, Management, or Business Administration, and at least 3-4 years of experience in brand management in an FMCG company. You should also be willing to work beyond regular working hours as necessary due to time zone differences.

Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an office environment but may be required to travel internationally from time to time.
