Senior Bookkeeper Opportunity">

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to lead our financial operations team. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding and cleanup of new client accounts, mentoring junior bookkeepers, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and ensuring the quality of junior bookkeeper outputs.
  • Leading Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including invoice preparation, approval flows, and reconciliation.
  • Managing onboarding and cleanup workflows for new client accounts.
  • Maintaining and enhancing SOPs, checklists, and process documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal standards.
  • Training and coaching junior bookkeepers, serving as an escalation contact.
  • Effectively managing multiple clients and meeting deadlines for month-end close.
  • Collaborating with the Pod Lead on onboarding plans.
  • Communicating proficiently via email and Slack using alias accounts.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial cleanup.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Strong leadership capability and mentoring experience.
  • Track record of creating or refining SOPs and efficient workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
