Technical Quality Assurance Specialist

Palmetto seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our solar installation projects.

Job Description

The Technical Quality Assurance Specialist will review and verify the accuracy of project documents, photos, and design details to ensure compliance with our company's quality standards. This includes reviewing solar monitoring platforms to confirm they are created accurately and verifying that the estimated production of sold systems meets the installed design.

As part of your daily responsibilities, you will ensure project milestone approvals and rejections are actioned in a timely manner, with clear communication to external partners. You will also support our LightReach division in gathering data to drive partner accountability and establish a culture of quality within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in a technical or construction-based solar role
  • Experience with interdepartmental problem-solving or project management
  • Experience in photovoltaic design preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with and influence 3rd parties
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience with standard business tools such as G-Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access, and work on rooftops, including in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, kneel, or bend down for extended periods during inspections
  • Adhere to field safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing work in the field
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
