Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our clients' businesses.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Lodge BAS, IAS, and GST reports in compliance with Australian tax regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in the preparation of income tax returns for businesses and individuals, adhering to Australian tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate records and preventing errors.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Australian tax laws and accounting standards (AASB, IFRS), mitigating risks and penalties.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and internal controls, streamlining operations and enhancing productivity.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Australian accounting experience.
Key Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, BAS/GST, and ATO compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel) is a must.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This is a remote opportunity that requires minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
