We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our efforts in targeting and acquiring institutional partnerships with colleges and universities in the USA and Canada.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of the education sector, close high-value deals, and lay the foundation for long-term partnerships that will support our scaling efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of closing large deals with academic institutions and building long-term strategic partnerships.
They will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and securing partnerships with colleges and universities, aligning our platform with their academic and administrative needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop tailored strategies for engaging with institutional clients, creating proposals, and presenting our value proposition to academic decision-makers.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Negotiate terms, finalize contracts, and ensure a smooth handoff to the partnerships team for onboarding.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with universities, ensuring a deep understanding of their evolving needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation of our platform within partnered institutions.
- Actively work to expand existing partnerships, identifying opportunities for upselling or introducing new features and services.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably within the education sector or EdTech.
- Competitive hourly rate.
- Commission on sales.
Flexible working hours between 9AM EST and 5PM EST.
