Business Development Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to promote and expand our portfolio in Southeast Asia.

  • The ideal candidate will establish relationships with key decision-makers of training organizations, universities, language schools, etc.
  • They will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and partnerships across the region assigned.
Job Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify and develop business opportunities for our organization in Southeast Asia through direct sales and channel partnerships
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of leads and key accounts
  • Forge and nurture high-impact relationships with senior decision-makers in language education and assessment
  • Develop go-to-market strategies tailored to each country's unique language education landscape
  • Ensure market penetration and brand awareness of our certifications in both public and private sectors
  • Participate in trade shows, language education events, and strategic forums across the region
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (Postgraduate qualification is a plus)
  • 10+ years' experience in business development, ideally in the language testing, education, EdTech, or certification sectors
  • Proven success in consultative B2B sales and partnership development
  • Deep understanding of the language learning and assessment landscape in Southeast Asia, including key stakeholders, regulatory environments, and market trends
  • Experience in working across diverse cultural contexts and multi-country portfolios
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluency in English (C2 level); proficiency in any major Southeast Asian language is a plus
  • Tech-savvy, with familiarity in CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
