Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to learners, troubleshooting issues, and guiding them through OffSec's learning materials.

About the Job
  • This is a full-time salaried position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • You will work from a home office and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and achieve successful learner outcomes.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, Linux, and Windows systems, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide general and technical support for learners via chat and email, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  2. Offer technical support for networking, Linux, and Windows systems, helping learners troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  3. Mentor learners by providing guidance on OffSec's foundational learning materials.
  4. Grade exams for OffSec certifications, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
  5. Test, verify, and validate OffSec products, lab systems, and their features to ensure quality and functionality before release.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, achieve common goals, and drive successful outcomes.
  7. Take initiative in developing, improving, and implementing processes that enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  8. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, holidays, and overtime as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Experience in guiding or mentoring individuals in cybersecurity subjects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A strong belief and understanding of being a team player in a remote working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with networking, virtualization systems, and operating systems.
  • Prior experience in tech support or a similar role.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, social networks, and network monitoring tools.
  • Relevant technical or IT certifications are a plus.
