Candidate Specifications:

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Pharmacy/Pharmacology, Nursing, or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in Pharma sales is required for this position.
  • Experience in handling Ophtha or any products is a plus.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
Job Responsibilities

Key Objectives:

  • Ensure that sales targets are achieved through effective and efficient promotion of ethical products to physicians of target specialties.
  • Partner with customers by providing value-added services.
  • Plan, organize, and execute product presentations to physicians and pharmacists regarding the therapeutic use of the product, mode of action, features, and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve targeted sales for the assigned territory.
  • Maintain and expand the sales of products and convert competitive products in a manner that is commensurate with company policy and sales direction.
  • Perform basic call procedures and parameters as per company norms and standards.
  • Understand and demonstrate the proper use of products to customers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle customer product questions and objections in a way that is consistent with sales operations protocol.

Work Environment:

The Professional Medical Representative (PMR) is responsible for handling sales operations in a given area. He/she shall be responsible for maintaining and expanding current accounts, building new accounts, developing strong customer relationships, and meeting quotas for a variety of products. He/she shall be an active listener and have the skills and knowledge to answer any Healthcare Practitioner's (HCP) questions about the relevant therapeutic area. Understands the evolving role of digital media, adapts to the needs, and engages with HCPs through digital activities.
