Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Site Operations Engineer to manage and service large-scale 'in-country' data centre infrastructure and facilities.

  • Manage and service large-scale 'in-country' data centre infrastructure and facilities to ensure 24x7 operations in rotating shifts.
  • Coordinate and escalate related to site operational issues and client's requirements ensuring great customer experience at all times while also taking guidance and complying with policies and standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of M&E, security, network and plumbing systems of the building, critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the DC environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and ensure smooth 24x7 running of the operations in the 'in-country' data centre.
  • Act as Level 1 escalation point by overseeing and resolving all onsite operational incidents and major issues, responding & performing remote requests within SLA.
  • Implement best-in-class DC operations based on ITIL and industry practices.
  • Deliver ITIL compliance process conformance for incident, problem and change management.
  • Ensure effective implementations of safety, security and customer support policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and provide support to contractors and vendors as well as inspecting completed work.
  • Plan and supports all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with little to no disruption to the company's services.
  • Participate and supports internal and external audits for internal stakeholders and customers.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in 24x7 DC or facility operations environment, or fresh graduate with relevant qualifications such as building services, mechanical engineering
  • Possess general knowledge of Network Critical Infrastructure
  • Good knowledge in M&E and building facilities-related systems, such as CRACs, Chiller, PDUs, UPS, Switchgears Ops, DX cooling, Network structure cabling, Security, etc.
  • Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
