Data Center Operations Manager

Manage and maintain large-scale data centre infrastructure and facilities to ensure seamless 24x7 operations in rotating shifts.

Proactively coordinate and escalate site operational issues and client requirements, ensuring great customer experience while complying with established policies and standards.

  • Ensure smooth running of the operations in the 'in-country' data centre.
  • Act as a Level 1 escalation point by overseeing and resolving onsite operational incidents and major issues, responding and performing remote requests within agreed service level agreements.
  • Understand and manage M&E, security, network, and plumbing systems of the building, critical facilities equipment, and other equipment associated with the DC environment.
  • Document and update requests on the internal web portal (tickets) such as user requests, incidents, provisioning, etc.
  • Implement best-in-class DC operations based on industry practices.
  • Deliver ITIL compliance across incident, problem, and change management.
  • Ensure effective implementations of safety, security, and customer support policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and provide support to contractors and vendors; inspect completed work.
  • Plan and support preventive and reactive maintenance activities with minimal disruption to services.
  • Participate in internal and external audits for internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Generate accurate and regular reports as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in 24x7 DC or facility operations, or a fresh graduate with relevant qualifications (e.g., building services, mechanical engineering).
  • General knowledge of Network Critical Infrastructure.
  • Good knowledge of M&E and building facilities-related systems (CRACs, chillers, PDUs, UPS, switchgear operation, DX cooling, network cabling, security, etc.).
  • Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
