Supportive Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wellbeing Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide mental health support to employees working in content moderation roles.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in psychology, psychotherapy, counseling, or a related field, as well as licensure as a therapist. They will have a minimum of 3+ years of post-graduate clinical experience delivering both individual and group coaching sessions across the mental health spectrum.
The selected candidate will work with people exposed to harmful content, including images, video, and text related to hate speech, violence, child safety, depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals. They will deliver 1:1 check-ins and counselling sessions addressing psychological health using short-term resilience strategies such as CBT, ACT, SFT, MBT, and psychoeducation.
Responsibilities include delivering group and peer support sessions aimed at building resilience, developing healthy coping strategies, and building positive working relationships. The successful candidate will also work with site coordinators and other regional leads to drive mental health and wellbeing activities, focus on enhancing employee resiliency, and minimize psychological risks in the Content Moderation space.
Additionally, the selected candidate will facilitate creative sessions such as sound therapies and mindfulness-based activities. They will assess cases for trauma related to exposure to graphic content, follow escalation protocols, and triage employees to appropriate support pathways.
The ideal candidate will be able to build trust and rapport with employees, managers, and team members. They will have strong data management skills, ensuring accurate handling of sensitive information. Excellent time management and prioritization skills are essential for this role, as the selected candidate will effectively handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in a dynamic setting.
