
Equipment Technical Support Specialist

Provide exceptional service to customers by offering technical support, installation, setup, repairs, calibration, and regular maintenance for assigned products.
The role involves performing technical support and customer care activities including diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Performing technical support and customer care activities including diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Engaging in repair, installation, calibration, commissioning, and after-sales maintenance service to the customer at their sites.
- Providing technical support such as servicing and commissioning for the sales team during seminars, demos, exhibitions, and workshops.
- Performing regular thorough functional checks, audits on equipment, and ensuring timely reporting of deficiencies with corrective action.
- Resolving issues related to computer operating systems, security, and firewall settings.
- Performing troubleshooting on device/software on workstation PCs using remote software tools.
- Collecting market competitive intelligence data at customer sites.
- Occasionally rendering support to service teams based outside of the home country including travel to sites.
- Supporting revenue growth by selling service contracts including ensuring parts sales are profitable.
- Collaborating with internal teams on all technical and service-related matters.
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or relevant qualification.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in medical equipment technical support including troubleshooting and diagnosing technical hardware, computer, and IT knowledge.
- Knowledge with networks, healthcare IT, Data Management/Patient Management systems is necessary.
- Possess excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with strong analytical abilities.
- Passion for customer success and focus on creating value for customers.
- Demonstrated initiative through problem-solving, system thinking, and prioritization.
- Ability to communicate professionally in English, both written and oral, with a wide variety of audiences.
- Flexibility in operational style to meet objectives.
- Good knowledge in computer hardware, operating systems, disk backup software, IT connectivity, and networking.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage complexity.
