We're seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Intake Specialist. As an Intake Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless communication between patients and medical teams.
Job Description- Manage intake phone calls from patients in a friendly, professional manner, acting as a remote receptionist.
- Obtain and record detailed client information, including personal details, location, and a summary of symptoms or chief complaints.
- Schedule same-day or urgent appointments accordingly, coordinate appointment times by matching patient availability with on-call doctor schedules.
You will work closely with other intake specialists during shift overlaps to ensure a smooth handoff of any in-progress cases.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 1+ years of experience in a customer service, patient intake, or call center role.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent English proficiency, and active listening skills.
- Customer-centric approach, empathy, patience, and professionalism in every interaction.
- Organizational skills, ability to multitask, and strong time-management.
- Tech savvy, comfortable using technology to facilitate workflow.
- Critical thinking and quick decision-making skills to effectively match doctors with patients.
- Meticulous in recording patient information, scheduling details, and follow-up notes correctly.
- Able to work as part of a remote team, communicating with colleagues and doctors across time zones.
