Accounting Specialist Position Overview

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team and contribute to the financial success of our multifamily real estate assets. This role is designed for a detail-oriented, proactive individual who can effectively manage accounting and financial operations.


Responsibilities:
  • Process transactions across multiple entities using Yardi software
  • Maintain accurate general ledgers and prepare account reconciliations on a timely basis
  • Manage bank activity, including intercompany and external transfers, and wires
  • Ensure seamless payment and disbursement processes
  • Reconcile corporate credit card activity and maintain accurate expense tracking
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable activity across properties and entities
  • Support entity-level financial statement preparation and monthly close procedures
  • Collaborate with other members of the accounting team on cross-functional initiatives
  • Provide timely and accurate financial data in response to internal and external inquiries

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
  • Prior experience in real estate or corporate multi-entity environments is highly valued
  • Proficiency with Yardi software is essential
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a remote setting
