Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Real Estate Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate asset management and/or acquisitions, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing weekly funding reports and monthly liquidity statements, as well as monitoring liquidity compliance and performing financial reporting variance analysis. Additionally, they will generate Yardi reports on rent roll, income statement, budget, tenancy schedule, and other key metrics requested by Asset Managers and Property Managers.

Other responsibilities include assisting with loan financing and refinancing, collaborating with Asset Managers and Property Managers to review and prepare annual budgets, and supporting 1031 exchanges, acquisitions, and dispositions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare weekly funding reports and monthly liquidity statements summarizing multifamily replacement reserves analysis and market comparison data.
  2. Monitor liquidity compliance and perform financial reporting variance analysis for quarterly and year-end loan compliance reporting.
  3. Generate Yardi reports on rent roll, income statement, budget, tenancy schedule, and other key metrics requested by Asset Managers and Property Managers.
  4. Assist with loan financing and refinancing, including underwriting, property summaries, due diligence, and closing documents.
  5. Collaborate with Asset Managers and Property Managers to review and prepare annual budgets for multifamily, general ledger, and office suites properties.
  6. Support 1031 exchanges, acquisitions, and dispositions, including identification of replacement and relinquished properties, deferred tax gain/loss calculations, and property tax basis updates.
  7. Maintain a summary of acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and 1031 exchanges, as well as update sold properties' IRR calculation and property tax basis quarterly.
  8. Ensure accuracy in LoanBoss and provide special reports as requested by management.
Requirements
  1. Graduate with Latin honors from a reputable university.
  2. Possess a bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or accounting, with an MBA preferred.
  3. Hold 2-5 years of experience in real estate asset management and/or acquisitions, preferably with top consulting firms or financial institutions.
  4. Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in underwriting and analyzing real estate opportunities.
  5. Develop advanced Excel modeling skills and possess strong quantitative skills, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excel in organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills, with a strong desire to succeed and work effectively in a team environment.
  7. Produce high-quality, error-free work product under tight deadlines with minimal oversight, while upholding unquestionable integrity and ethics.
