Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to support our accounting and financial operations across a growing portfolio of multifamily real estate assets. This role is designed for a detail-oriented, proactive individual who will report to the Senior Manager and collaborate closely with other members of the accounting and asset management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and categorize transactions across multiple entities in Yardi
  • Maintain general ledgers and prepare account reconciliations
  • Manage bank activity: initiate, track, and confirm intercompany and external transfers and wires
  • Process payments and disbursements
  • Reconcile corporate credit card activity and ensure accurate expense tracking
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable activity across properties and entities
  • Assist with entity-level financial statement preparation and monthly close procedures
  • Support other members of the accounting team with cross-functional initiatives
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries with timely and accurate financial data
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Senior Manager or Controller

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
  • Prior experience in real estate, CT, or a multi-entity environment is a plus
  • Experience with Yardi is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting
