Asset Manager Job Description

The Asset Manager oversees the control, tracking, and movement of government and company assets. This includes ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating logistics, and maintaining accurate asset records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update asset records to ensure accuracy.
  • Supervise the receipt, inspection, tagging, labeling, and secure storage of equipment.
  • Manage property transfers, including documentation and coordination of related activities.
  • Oversee logistics for site deliveries, staff travel, and equipment movements.
  • Prepare and submit reports for any lost, damaged, or stolen property.
  • Collaborate with the Global Support Team's Property Administrator to align asset management practices.
  • Conduct routine physical inventories and resolve any identified discrepancies.
  • Prepare records and documentation to support internal, external, and government audits.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for effective asset handling, tracking, and control.
  • Monitor contract requirements to ensure full compliance.
  • Work closely with procurement, warehousing, and finance teams for end-to-end asset lifecycle coordination.
  • Ensure all assets are correctly tagged, labeled, and stored.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes to strengthen asset accountability and visibility.
