Key Responsibilities

The Utility Team Lead oversees a team of engineers responsible for managing and inspecting utility assets. Key responsibilities include cataloging assets, identifying equipment issues, collaborating with utility companies to meet project goals, and ensuring data accuracy.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and manage a team of utility engineers to ensure high-quality inspections and data accuracy.
  • Oversee asset cataloging and identification of potential hazards or equipment issues.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with project standards.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and leadership to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  • Align data accuracy with industry standards by working closely with internal teams.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the electric utility field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities are must-haves.
  • Proficient computer skills and good written and oral communication abilities are essential.
  • A working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and national engineering standards is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work is necessary.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce is required.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector is beneficial.
