Fixed Assets Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fixed Assets Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting and financial management of fixed assets, including capitalizing and depreciating assets, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture and process asset movements, including additions, disposals, and transfers.
  • Complete fixed asset postings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile book values with tax values, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
  • Perform period closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
