Job Description:


The successful candidate will oversee the overall supervision of the Accounting Department, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and proper financial reporting to support business operations.


Key responsibilities include overseeing daily accounting activities, monitoring and validating accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards, and ensuring timely submission of financial reports to management and external stakeholders.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Oversee daily accounting activities including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor and validate the accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Review and ensure accuracy in billing clients and validating third-party charges
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management and external stakeholders.

Industry-Specific Transactions:


  • Supervise the reconciliation of freight costings, operational disbursements, and billing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of expenses, taxes, and other related financial activities.
  • Coordinate with operations and customer service to verify delivery documents and charges.

Compliance & Internal Controls:


  • Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, PEZA, and other local government requirements.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Supervise and guide accounting staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
  • Provide training and coaching to ensure development and compliance with policies.
  • Resolve issues and discrepancies raised by team members or other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in General Accounting - Accounting Payables, Receivables and Financial Statement as well as with standards and principles
  • At least 1 - 2 years or more experience as an Accounting Supervisor/Manager
  • Willing to work onsite at a designated location
