Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for resolving customer support tickets in a timely manner and ensuring excellent communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ticket Resolution: Resolve customer support tickets efficiently and effectively, providing timely updates to clients.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical issues related to SQL, Linux, networking, and VPNs.
  • Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to deliver outstanding results and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Support Services: Provide after-hours/holiday support when required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4+ years' experience in SQL, production environments, and client support.
  • Linux and Networking: Strong knowledge of Linux OS support and network administration.
  • Relational Databases: Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Nice to Have:

  • Cloud Systems and Java/JSP/jQuery Knowledge: Cloud systems, Java/JSP/jQuery knowledge, or Salesforce admin experience would be beneficial.
  • Utility Industry Exposure: Experience in the utility industry or Smart Grid exposure is desirable.
  • ITIL/ITSM Background: ITIL/ITSM background would be an asset.
