Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, including US GAAP, and experience working with financial software. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entry postings, and accurate reporting.
  • Process monthly revenue tasks, including reconciliations, posting of entries, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and assist auditors as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of annual tax returns.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience in accounts receivable, payroll processing, accounts payable, and month-end close procedures.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Knowledgeable in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
  • Experience working with US-based SaaS companies.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
