Senior Utility Engineer Job Description

The Senior Utility Engineer will lead inspections of overhead utility infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and contributing to process improvements within the electric sector.

The role involves overseeing quality control processes, performing advanced data analysis and providing technical leadership to support project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of overhead utility infrastructure, identifying faults and hazards.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to ensure high standards of accuracy and data quality.
  • Oversee quality control processes for work packages and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide feedback and contribute to process improvements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align data accuracy with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the electric utility field.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of national engineering standards, utility construction standards and best industry engineering practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.
