Scheduling Coordinator in Healthcare

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to fill a key role in our team. As a Healthcare Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling and overseeing allied health appointments, as well as processing internal referrals and managing patient approvals.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Virtual Assistant, preferably in a healthcare setting, and possess strong organizational and time management skills. They should also be proficient in MS Excel and Google Workspace, and familiar with healthcare software tools such as EMR/EHR systems.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care. You will be responsible for:
- Scheduling and coordinating allied health appointments, including physical therapy, chiropractic care, occupational therapy, and eye care services.
- Processing internal referrals and ensuring they are added to the correct lists.
- Managing patient approvals, denials, and follow-up lists.
You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, providers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all needs are met.
