Job Description

The Network Operations Specialist role is a critical position for monitoring and resolving IT issues in a fast-paced environment. This team member will serve as the first point of contact for alerts and requests, working closely with vendors and customers to ensure timely resolutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to alerts related to user devices, network circuits, temperature/water alerts, cloud technologies, and SOC notifications.
  • Resolve requests for scheduling after-hours maintenance, device onboarding, and new customer setup.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and patch deployments.
  • Participate in projects assigned by management to improve NOC and Support team processes.
  • Maintain knowledge base documentation, creating new articles and improving content to support incident resolution.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop & Server OS, with a focus on desktop troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cloud products and technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint/OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Amazon AWS.
  • Understanding of identity management, authorization, and security protocols, such as Azure AD and Okta.
  • Knowledge of EMM/MDM tools, backups, disaster recovery, and email technologies like Proofpoint, Mimecast, and Global Relay.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and diagnostic toolkits for Layers 1-3 functionality.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to approach incidents logically and efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of general IT experience, with a focus on server, infrastructure support, and networking/circuit expertise.
  • At least 1 year of NOC experience, including knowledge of ITIL-based Service Operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Possess a strong diagnostics toolkit and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
