  • Fiber optic network planning, design, and implementation
  • Capacity management and network optimization
  • Fiber optic cable installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Vendor management for fiber leases and infrastructure
  • Path analysis and route optimization for efficient data transfer
  • Field testing and validation of network equipment
  • Compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Incident response and outage resolution

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or relevant position for at least 3 years
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Prior experience/knowledge in fiber optic networks, DWDM, OTN, Layer 1/2 networking, network topology design, fiber characterization, dark fiber provisioning, SDN, Ethernet/IP/MPLS, network protocols, circuit provisioning/grooming, RF over fiber, and transmission systems engineering
  • Certifications in CFOT, CCNP, ONF-Certified SDN Associate, or JNCIA-Junos
  • Experience with NMS, GIS, fiber splicing, performance monitoring, test equipment, CAD, and network simulation software
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and holidays, and overtime when needed
