Job Overview

The role of Technology Business Incubation Manager involves implementing the incubation strategy, capacitating and supporting technology business incubators to ensure the development of competitive and sustainable enterprises. Key responsibilities include establishing and supporting technology business incubation and accelerators in accordance with the incubation strategy.


Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and support technology business incubation and accelerators in accordance with the incubation strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance and recommend appropriate interventions for existing and new technology business incubators (TBI's) and accelerators.
  • Network and build effective linkages with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the performance and efficiency levels of a portfolio of incubators/accelerators.
  • Facilitate mentoring and coaching of incubator management.

Requirements
  • Matric (NQF Level 4) plus a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Operations Management or Business Management or Project Management or Computer Science.
  • Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Operations Management or Business Management or Incubation Management or Entrepreneurship Management or Computer Science or Project Management as added advantage.

Essential Skills
  • 4-6 years' experience in Enterprise Development/Technology Business Incubation and Business Advising.
  • Proven experience in an innovation and technology-driven industry or organization.
  • Experience in assessing the viability and sustainability of small businesses.
  • In-depth understanding of the enterprise development and incubation/accelerators ecosystem.
  • Advanced computer literacy - MS Office and MS Projects.
