Job Opportunity:

Incubation Projects Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced manager to facilitate the implementation of our incubation strategy. The successful candidate will capacitate and support technology business incubators to ensure the development of competitive and sustainable enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide operational support in the establishment of technology business incubation and accelerators.
  2. Offer operational support to existing and new technology business incubators (TBIs) and accelerators.
  3. Monitor and evaluate TBIs and accelerators performance, and recommend appropriate interventions.
  4. Network and build effective linkages with relevant stakeholders.
  5. Manage the effective performance and efficiency levels of a portfolio of incubators/accelerators.
  6. Facilitate and/or provide mentoring and coaching of incubator staff.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A matric certificate (NQF Level 4) plus a national diploma (NQF Level 6) in operations management or business management or incubation management or entrepreneurship management or project management or computer science.
  • A bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7) in operations management or business management or incubation management or entrepreneurship management or computer science or project management as an added advantage.
  • 4-6 years' experience in enterprise development/technology business incubation and business advising.
  • Proven experience in an innovation and technology-driven industry or organization.
  • Experience in assessing the viability and sustainability of small enterprises.
  • Depth understanding of the enterprise development and incubation/accelerators ecosystem.
  • Advanced computer literacy - MS Office and MS Projects.
  • A valid South African driver's license.
