We are seeking an ambitious and versatile professional to lead our growth initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of strategic planning, execution, and adaptability.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have experience in driving growth at early-stage startups, preferably as a founder or in a leadership position. They will be responsible for developing and scaling initiatives that attract top founders in Southeast Asia.
Potential initiatives include:
- Scout Program: Designing a program to enable founders and friends to identify and invest in startups.
- Co-Founder Matching: Enhancing our platform to become the premier place for co-founder matching in Southeast Asia.
- Own Idea: Proposing and developing own initiatives that traditional venture capital firms might overlook but are valuable for founders.
The goal is to experiment with 20 initiatives, identify the 5 most successful, and build teams around them.
The selected candidate will report directly to Hsu Ken.
Key ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities include:
- Create Initiatives: Developing new initiatives with little limitation on format or scope.
- Grow Initiatives: Expanding and improving initiatives post-launch.
- Scale Initiatives: When successful, iterating and building teams to scale the initiatives.
- Kill Initiatives: Discontinuing initiatives that do not show growth, with a clear rationale.
Most initiatives may not succeed; focus on maximizing the magnitude of success rather than probability.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Startup Experience: Prior work at or founding an early-stage startup.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and execute strategies to drive growth.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use data to guide decisions and measure success.
- Strong Communicator: Clear, concise, and adaptable communication skills.
