Desktop Support Role

  • Provide on-site and remote technical assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, and standard peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Perform system reimaging, virus removal, and patch updates.
  • Assist in the backup and recovery of user data and configurations.
  • Document support activities and update configuration records.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacement and warranty claims.
  • Support software installations, user onboarding, and device configuration.
  • Elevate complex issues to L2/L3 support teams as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or associate degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Two to four years of experience in desktop support or IT field services is desired.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Modern Desktop Associate are advantageous.
  • A strong working knowledge of Windows OS and desktop applications is required.
  • A basic understanding of networking and system recovery procedures is essential.
  • Experience with backup software and endpoint recovery is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in remote desktop tools and ITSM ticketing platforms is necessary.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills are crucial.
