Job Description

We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to support our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records, as well as maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and best practices.

Main Responsibilities
  1. The GL Accountant will be accountable for supporting month-end close procedures and maintaining associated workpapers in accordance with GAAP and best practices.
  2. Manage the entire fixed asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, including tracking capital expenditures, calculating and recording monthly depreciation and amortization, and performing periodic reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
  3. Coordinate with the Revenue / Receivables team to drive timely and precise cash applications.
  4. Execute month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  5. Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure proper elimination entries are made for consolidating multiple legal entities.
  6. Assist in preparing schedules and providing documentation for annual financial audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience as an in-house accounting professional preparing month-end close reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
  • A completed university degree in accounting; CPA (or similar international charter) preferred but not required.
  • Strong proficiency with NetSuite and Ramp is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and Google Sheets is required.
  • Comprehensive familiarity with GAAP accounting; advanced proficiency in lease accounting is a plus but not required.
