Financial Professional Wanted

We are seeking a skilled professional to maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports and ensure the accuracy of financial information for a business. This role requires in-depth knowledge of accounting principles beyond standard bookkeeping including handling more complex financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Recordkeeping
    • Maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable
    • Manage bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets profit and loss statements and cash flow reports
    • Assist in creating monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders
  • Tax Preparation and Compliance
    • Assist in tax return preparation by organizing financial data and preparing documentation for external accountants
    • Ensure compliance with local state and federal tax laws filing necessary forms
  • Accounts Management
    • Oversee accounts receivable and payable ensuring timely billing and collections
    • Monitor and manage payroll expense reimbursements and other financial obligations
  • Auditing and Internal Controls
    • Assist in auditing processes by providing accurate financial data and supporting documents
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Support the preparation of company budgets forecasts and financial plans
    • Provide analysis and insights to management regarding financial performance and areas for improvement
    Requirements
    • Experience
      • 3-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience preferably in a senior or accountant-level role
    • Software Proficiency
      • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Xero or SAP along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Attention to Detail
      • Ability to maintain accurate financial records and handle complex data analysis
    • Knowledge of GAAP
      • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulations
    • Certification
      • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is a plus
    • QBO ProAdvisor
      • Proven experience with QBO proadvisor certifications
