Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to manage and maintain the financial records of our real estate properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and compliant financial records, ensuring adherence to accounting standards
  • Utilize Appfolio software for efficient financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports to inform business decisions
  • Conduct regular financial closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Reconcile bank statements and verify proper recording of transactions
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of our real estate assets
  • Assist with tax return preparation and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations
  • Collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard sensitive financial data
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting
  • Proficiency in Appfolio software and other accounting tools
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
