A Financial Crime Prevention Specialist plays a vital role in safeguarding our financial systems from illicit activities like money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud.
Main Responsibilities- Determine customer and business identities (KYC and KYB) to prevent illegal transactions
- Monitor transactions for suspicious activity to ensure compliance
- Liaise with partner banks to facilitate smooth operations
- Report Suspicious Activities Reports (SARs) to the Chief Compliance Officer
This position involves adhering to internal procedures and achieving performance metrics, focusing on key performance indicators like processing time and accuracy.
Requirements- Able to learn quickly and acquire new insights and skills
- Proficient in English language
- Knowledge of global AML/CTF practices
- Proficient in KYC processes
- Experience with Transaction monitoring/EDD process
- Strong understanding of financial services and their regulatory framework
- Proficient in KYB processes
- Prior experience in FinTech or startup environments is highly beneficial
