Job Summary

Financial Analyst Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Core Billing and Revenue Management:
    • Manage complex billing processes, including multi-tiered pricing structures, contract billing, and subscription management across multiple client segments.
    • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
    • Analyze customer contracts to ensure proper billing setup and revenue recognition treatment.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Develop comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports for executive leadership and board presentations.
    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for billing operations, expense margins, and revenue trends.
    • Conduct detailed analysis of budget-to-actual variances for revenue streams and provide actionable insights to management.
    • Lead revenue forecasting activities and provide critical input for annual budgeting processes.
  • Accounts Management:
    • Manage accounts receivable (AR) processes, aging reports, and collection strategies to optimize cash flow.
    • Oversee accounts payable (AP) operations, vendor payments, and expense management systems.
    • Continuously improve collections strategies and policies, working closely with teams to optimize cash flow.
  • Audit and Compliance:
    • Design and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and fraud prevention.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for audit-related activities, both internal and external.
    • Ensure all financial practices comply with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Human Resources Support:
    • Support HR initiatives related to employee performance tracking and development.
  • Legal Compliance and Coordination:
    • Coordinate with legal counsel and management to develop and maintain company policies and procedures.
    • Support contract review processes and coordinate with legal teams on client agreements.
  • Information Technology:
    • Lead the optimization and maintenance of billing systems, coordinating with IT on system upgrades and implementations.
    • Evaluate and recommend billing software, automation tools, and integration opportunities.
    • Lead or support major system implementations, upgrades, or integrations affecting billing operations.
